The Library of Cartography
Publication Design

The library of cartography was my second year architectural project. To minimise the building’s impact on the ancient ruins of Carcare in Rome, the library was contained within an inhabited bridge.

This publication was my first venture into bookbinding and printing. The design, paper, and binding were selected to encapsulate the themes of culture, juxtaposition and materiality explored within the project. Printing my work on delicate newsprint resulted in a layered viewing experience. Creating this publication inspired my curiosity in graphic design and bookbinding.
